History & About 3D Charity

Since 1999, the 3D Charity Hockey Tournament has grown to be the largest 3 on 3 event of it’s kind in the Grande Prairie Region. Students from the Grande Prairie Public, Grande Prairie Catholic and Peace Wapiti School Districts all participate in a weekend tournament that benefits seriously ill children in our community. The tournament currently includes 12 teams boys and 4 teams for girls in the high school division, and 20 junior high teams of boys and girls representing all schools in the Grande Prairie area.

In 2019, the charity eclipsed over $1,000,000 in total funds raised. Every dollar raised goes directly to a seriously ill student and aids them in a way specific to their needs. Many sponsors in the Grande Prairie area have contributed thousands of dollars to make sure that the charity does not have to pay any operating costs to run the tournament. We have benefited approximately 500 kids.

The 3D Charity Hockey Tournament has become a fun weekend many students and families look forward to each year.
